“Dragon Ball GT did not feature Akira Toriyama, the creator of the manga. However, the mangaka designed several characters for the anime, including the robot Gill, who accompanies Goku, Pan and Trunks on their adventures in space.

Revealed in 1995, Gill’s original design was quite similar to what we saw in the anime, with the exception of the color, which would be metallic blue/green.

This was the original look of the robot Gill, from Dragon Ball GT

Gill was added to the anime as a major character, helping to develop Pan’s personality. Although he ate the Dragon Radar, he became one of the most charismatic characters in Dragon Ball GT. In fact, Gill has become such a fundamental part that when we talk about Dragon Ball GT, it’s impossible not to think of this naughty little robot.

Although it wasn’t mentioned in Dragon Ball Super, there could still be future surprises prepared by Toriyama for the series. Since now Pan is no longer a baby, many new adventures will come to the screen.

Gill may not be the franchise’s most important character, but he certainly holds a special place in fans’ hearts for his unique personality. Like many other Dragon Ball characters, Gill has evolved over time from his initial design to his final appearance in the series, but his presence continues to be valued by the community.

So, what did you think of Gill’s original look? He is not very different from what we are used to seeing, except for the color. It’s safe to say that if Gill was like that, he would still be very loved by fans, don’t you agree?
