During a special event held this Sunday for the franchise based on the manga written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi; Gintama , the novel series was revealed to be written by Tomohito Osaki and inspired by the original work; Class 3-Z’s Teacher Ginpachi (3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-Sensei), will have an anime adaptation, which will be produced by Bandai Namco Pictures studios . More details and the release date will be announced soon.

With this announcement, the first promotional video for the project was also published where we can hear the voice actor Tomokazu Sugita (voice of Gintoki Sakata in the original anime); voicing the character Ginpachi Sakata .

This new series will be part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Gintama franchise. It should be remembered that the original manga was published for the first time in December 2003.

The Class 3-Z’s Teacher Ginpachi novels began publishing in 2006 as a spin-off that gave the franchise ‘s characters a slightly different role. Shueisha publishing house; released the seventh and final volume of this literary series in 2018.
