The Spy x Family animated series, based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga of the same name, is back with a new film titled Spy x Family Code: White. The core trio of the Forger family, Loid, Anya, and Yor won over fans and the first season was one of the biggest anime releases of 2022. The franchise has already announced a continuation of the TV series and a new original feature film in production.

With the AnimeJapan 2023 convention updates, the Spy x Family Code: White movie has a confirmed release date for Japan on December 22 , featuring original character designs by Tatsuya Endo. Takashi Katagiri is directing the film in collaboration with Wit Studio and CloverWorks, with a script written by Ichiro Okuchi and Kyoji Asano as chief animation director.

An international release date for the film has yet to be announced. In the meantime, fans can check out the first season of the series on Crunchyroll, where the plot is described as “For decades, the nations of Ostania and Westalis have waged an endless cold war.

To investigate the movements of the president of an important political party, Westalis mobilizes Twilight, his best agent, to set up a fake family and infiltrate the social events promoted by the school of the son of the politician.

But by a twist of fate, Twilight ends up adopting Anya, a young woman with telepathic powers, and “marrying” Yor, a professional assassin! Unaware of each other’s identities, this unusual trio will embark on adventures full of surprises to ensure world peace.”

With the success of the first season, Spy x Family Code: White arrives in Japanese theaters in December with the promise of an original story never seen before. The continuation of the TV series is scheduled for the end of October.
