Today is the first Saturday of the month so don’t forget to head over to your local Home Depot with your 5-12 year old and participate in the Kids Workshops. Kids have so much fun making something they can take home, they also get a orange apron and a pin to show which workshops they have attended, and you will love it because it is free. This runs from 9am – noon, and I suggest you try to get their early as they might run out of projects as the day goes on.

Ready for some Christmas shopping?  Today from 9am-4pm the Watsonville Holiday Factory Sale is going on.  Many local vendors are involved in this sale and this is a great chance for you to get great prices on gifts for your loved ones.

Get out early this morning to make sure you get seats along Pacific Ave in Downtown Santa Cruz.  The Holiday Parade is happening from 10am-noon so grab some hot cocoa and a warm blanket and enjoy the festivities downtown.

The Scotts Valley Library is having a book sale today.  This is a great opportunity for you to get your hands on some great cheap books as well as helping out a great cause.

Starting at 5pm tonight the Scotts Valley Christmas Tree Lighting event will feature music, fun and Santa will make his way over to the tree to help light it up.

Tonight head to the shore so you can see the Lighted Boat Parade as they sail between the Santa Cruz and Capitola wharfs.  The parade starts at 5:30pm.  Some local businesses will be offering snacks and drinks for those watching the parade.
