Today is the first Saturday of the month so don’t forget to head over to your local Home Depot with your 5-12 year old and participate in the Kids Workshops. Kids have so much fun making something they can take home, they also get a orange apron and a pin to show which workshops they have attended, and you will love it because it is free. This runs from 9am – noon, and I suggest you try to get their early as they might run out of projects as the day goes on.

Today is the 1st Annual Gay Family Day at the Boardwalk.  Buy your tickets in advance to save $7/ticket and make a donataion to your favorite charity.  This will be a fun family friendly day.  The Boardwalk will be open from 11am – 7pm today.

Don’t miss the 15th Annual Monte Foundation Fireworks Extravaganza at Seacliff State Beach today.  This is a great all day event with live music, great food, fun games and finishes off with a great fireworks display.

For all you Brit’s don’t miss The 1st Annual Scottish Games and Celtic Festival at San Lorenzo Park in Santa Cruz.  There are great games, music and activities scheduled all day today from 10am-6pm.  So get out your kilt and don’t miss out.  Kids under 10 get in Free!
