The first Wednesday of the month is a great day to take that day-trip out to San Fransico that you have been planning.  The Exploratorium is free today.  This is one of the most interesting museums out there with exhibits that appeal to every member of the family.  They are open from 10am – 5pm.

For those of you who are San Francisco residents you can get into the Zoo today for free with proof of residency.

Visit your local Library for Storytime.  Boulder Creek has preschool storytime from 11 – 11:45am.  Capitola has toddler storytime from 11:15 – 11:35am.  Storytime is a lot of fun for kids with stories all around a theme, and most incorporate familiar songs or crafts into their storytime as well.

Take the family down to Capitola Beach tonight from 6-8pm for Twilight Concerts 2009.  These are free concerts held on the beach featuring a different band each week.
