Display Your Cars

Today is the first Saturday of the month so don’t forget to head over to your local Home Depot with your 5-12 year old and participate in the Kids Workshops. Kids have so much fun making something they can take home, they also get a orange apron and a pin to show which workshops they have attended, and you will love it because it is free. This runs from 9am – noon, and I suggest you try to get their early as they might run out of projects as the day goes on.  Today kids will be able to make their own car display.

Boardwalk on the Cheap

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is offering 2 for 1 unlimited ride tickets this weekend and next weekend.  So invite a friend and treat them to a free day of fun or you can both only pay half price.  Either way it will be a fun day for both of you to spend together.

Today you can get all the history you want for free.  The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is offering free admission today.  This is a fun museum where you can learn a lot about the great history around Santa Cruz.  So whether you like history or free stuff or both this is the place for you.

    It’s time again for the monthly teen afternoon movie at the Scotts Valley branch library.  This is a fun time for teens to hang out with their friends and enjoy a good movie.  Of course popcorn will be provided as well.

    • Storytelling – Year of the Tiger

    Come and celebrate the Year of the Tiger with Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo at the Central Branch library.  From 11:15 – noon he will be sharing Tiger by the Tale: Storytelling for the Lunar New Year.  This will be geared towards preschool aged children but all are welcome to come and enjoy the stories.

    A Care Bear will be at the Capitola Mall this afternoon to help get kids in the spirit of Valentines Day.  There will be valentine crafts for the kids and then a show featuring one of the care bears.  The fun starts at 3:30, get there early so you can get your craft made and get a good seat for the show.

    The Seymore Discover Center is offering free admission today.  This year there are only 4 free days to the Discovery center so don’t miss out.  Come and learn all about marine life in the Monterey Bay.  There are touch tanks, activities for kids and many different species of marine life for you to observe.
